To push model data to an ISM repository

To push new model or model updates to a local repository, use the following procedure.

  1. On the Analysis ribbon tab, select iTwin Services Add-In.

    The iTwin Services Add-In dialog opens.

  2. (Optional) Review application specific synchronization settings by clicking Edit Settings. If not done so already, clicking Push to File will open the Setup Local Sync dialog which designates the File Repository that your model data will be associated to. Subsequent Push action will use the selected File repository as reference.
  3. (Optional) Click Sync.
  4. Select the local ISM repository you want to synchronize:
    To… Do the following…
    create a new repository for synchronizing Click New. Select the folder and type a file name for the ISM repository. Click Save.
    select an existing repository Click Select. Navigate to and then select the repository file name. Click Open.
    Tip: If you have previously synchronized the model with an ISM repository, then the previous repository is already selected.
  5. Click Confirm.
  6. Click Push to file.

    The Push to file dialog opens.

    Note: If Show Change Management is enabled, preview changes in iTwin Analytical Synchronizer before the changes are committed.
  7. (Optional) Toggle off Show change management to see the expanded dialog.

    Enter the Commit message in the textbox that describes the items changed.

  8. Click Push.

    The Export dialog opens.

  9. (Optional) Review and accept changes in the Export dialog.
  10. Click Export.

    The Section Mapping dialog opens.

  11. (Optional) Review and accept changes in the Section Mapping dialog.
  12. Click OK.

    The Workflow and iTwin Analytical Synchronizer CONNECT Edition dialog opens.

  13. Click + to create a new workflow or select the existing one.
  14. (Optional) Click Preview to review the accepted changes.
  15. Click Update to export the repository data to the physical model.

    The Commit Message dialog opens.

  16. Enter message in the textbox and click OK.

    The dialog closes and a confirmation message appears.

The ISM repository is created.
