PartL NI: Compliance Tab

Contains the resultant reports derived from PartL NI calculations.

SettingDescription
Compliance Report A Compliance document is automatically produced by SBEM. The compliance document has been designed as a complete summary of compliance information for the project. The document consists of the following sections.
  • Administrative Information: Project, Occupier, Certifier details – These appear exactly as entered on the Project tab. Also, the Certification tool – details of the calculation engine (Government SBEM tool) and the Energy Simulation interface program (PartL).
  • Criterion 1: Checks CO2 emission for the actual building (BER) against the target emission rate (TER).
  • Criterion 2: Fabric U values – checks the fabric U values are better than the design limits for area weighted and individual values, Air permeability – checks whether the specified air permeability is no greater than the worst acceptable standard, Building services – checks whether the building services standards such as boiler efficiency and controls are acceptable.
  • Criterion 3: Contains information about whether the solar gains limit is exceeded in each of the zones where the solar gains check is applicable.
  • Criterion 4: States whether the performance of the building as built is consistent with the BER. Compliance is not checked by the tool for this criterion. (This is not included for Scottish Building Regulations.)
  • Criterion 5: Covers the provision of information about the building. Compliance is not checked by the tool for this criterion. (This is not included for Scottish Building Regulations.)
  • EPBD (Recast):
  • Technical Data Sheet (Actual Vs. Notional Building): This section displays some information about the overall energy performance of the building (actual and notional) and some specific information on the HVAC systems in the building (actual and notional). It also lists some general information, such as the weather location of the building and the percentages of total building floor area occupied by the different activity types.
  • Key Features: Highlights any items in the building fabric definitions whose specification is better than typically expected values.
Energy Report
An Energy report document is automatically produced by SBEM. The energy report document has been designed as a complete summary of the energy performance for the project. The document consists of the following sections.
  • Whole building carbon dioxide performance – Summary of the CO2 emission rate for the notional building, along with the target emission rate (TER) and the actual building emissions rate (BER).
  • Building energy by end use – Provides a graph detailing the annual breakdown of the energy consumed by each of the building services.
  • Building monthly energy by end use – Provides a graph detailing the monthly breakdown of the energy consumed by each of the building services.
  • Building systems energy – Provides a monthly breakdown of the energy consumption of each of the building services along with the annual totals.
Data Reflection Report (Actual)
A Data reflection report for the actual building is automatically produced by SBEMie. This report contains all the data that SBEMie uses to calculate the energy performance of the actual building along with some general details about the building. The document consists of the following sections.
  • General details
  • Energy accessor
  • Client
  • Software
  • Envelope/Door constructions
  • Summary of objects
  • Project building services
  • Hot water systems
  • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
The Zone name consists of the following sections.
  • HVAC System, ventilation and exhaust
  • General Lighting and controls
  • Display lighting
  • Hot water system
  • Thermal bridges Psi values [W/mK]
  • Shell & core
  • Envelopes
  • Windows & rooflights
  • Doors
Data Reflection Report (Notional)
A Data reflection report for the notional building is automatically produced by SBEM. This report contains all the data that SBEM uses to calculate the energy performance of the notional building along with some general details about the building. The document consists of the following sections.
  • General details
  • Building fabric details
  • All systems other than HVAC (DHW, PVC, SES, CHP)
  • HVAC system (repeated for each HVAC system)
  • Rooms in this HVAC system
  • Surface data in this room
