There is flexibility with removing landings with respect to maintaining the original position of the stair after the landing is removed. To maintain the stair's position at the top of the stair, move the pointer close to the top until a red arrow appears (below left). Conversely, to maintain the stair's position at the bottom of the stair, move the pointer close to the bottom until a red arrow appears (below right).
