Heads Up Display (HUD)

To facilitate “Ease of Use” and increase productivity for Building solutions, Architectural discipline's Heads Up Display provides instant visual feedback during design project workflow at the point in the interface where attention is focused. Heads Up Display also facilitates modifications without searching for other commands.

Accurate relationships between Building parts is extremely important. So placement of dimensions that tie components to fixed points is critical. Dimensional visual feedback, in the form of Heads Up Display, assists you in the accurate placement of architectural elements and the feedback displays in the area where workflow attention is focused.

Visual feedback comes in the form of linear dimensions and alignments, to inform you of the relationships between Building components. Heads Up Display specifically provides visual feedback with five types of information:

  • Dimensional information for placement and modification.
  • Alignment indicators for placement and modification.
  • Angular indicators for placement and modification.
  • Glyphs to indicate modification behavior (mirror, change hand, change swing, locked, unlocked).
  • Pointer flyover tips that display information about the object and user options.
