To route in a vertical plane

  1. Study the path of the route and identify duct route needed to be branched out vertically in your building structure.
  2. Be in the desired plane and activate placing duct fitting.
    Note: Unlock ACS Plane and keep lock for ACS Plane Snap.
  3. Choose proper justification that aligns the duct along the wall or obstruction. Use the Placement settings accessed from Placement > Place ribbon tab.


  4. Route the duct in the horizontal plane along the walls.


  5. Continue the route along the wall till desired point you need to route the duct vertical.




  6. Using the E key in AccuDraw apply the Cycle Rotation. The compass rotates along its axes.


  7. Reset before changing the route vertical and switch the justification to suit the vertical support.
    Tip: When you reset check the orientation of plane with AccuDraw rotate and sense the correct point for alignment that suits the justification along the obstruction, say bottom right as in the illustration
  8. Continue routing the duct till higher floor.


  9. Enter the smart lock (press <Enter> in AccuDraw) to accept the height of the duct in vertical direction.
