To Add Elements to an Existing Named Group with the Element Selection Tool

Select the Element Selection tool ( Drawing > Home > Selection ).
Do one of the following:

If adding a single element, drag it on the list box entry for the named group in the Named Groups dialog.

or
If adding multiple elements, select them, and then drag them on the list box entry for the named group.
