OpenBuildings™ Designer Help

Using the Dataset Part Validation utility

  1. Select ( Dataset Part Validation Utility).

    The Validate Datasets dialog opens.

  2. In the Validate settings, check the items to be validated. Notice the additional setting Report Null Parts is available for PAZ files and Cell libraries.
  3. (Optional) Turn on Report Null Parts, say for Compound Cell library files being validated, to know if there are Null Parts (cell components) having no family or part assignments. This setting insures that null parts are included in the Dataset Validation Reports.
  4. Click OK to create the Dataset Validation Reports.

The tool scans Dataset and displays the resultant part conflicts against each item in the grid on the dialog.

For conflicted items, the report file icon is enabled.
  5. To review a conflict report, click .

The conflict report opens in a text editor.

The report displays the number of missing parts, the directory locations of the Dataset Validation Reports, and the file names of the Dataset Validation Reports.
