OpenBuildings Designer delivers several manufacturer catalog database files. The DataGroup System provides a mechanism for establishing a link to and accessing properties from manufacturer databases. The procedure begins with the Data Link Properties dialog which is accessed through the Catalog Editor.

The Data Link Properties is used to link and display available datagroup catalog items, that are of the same catalog type, for the active catalog item in the instance data properties in Place/Modify dialog.
