Connect Forms

Used to create connections between two forms.

Accessed from:


  • Ribbon: Building Design > Architectural > Modify > Connect split button > Connect Walls
  • Ribbon: Building Design > Forms > Modify Forms > Connect split button > Connect Walls


In the tool settings window, click the icon for the type of connection you want to make; or press the spacebar to toggle between the connection icons.

Connect Forms as T - Extends or shortens a linear or arc form to an intersection with a second form.
Connect Forms as L (Parallel) - Creates a corner joint between two forms. The forms may be linear or arc. The end of the first form is extended so that it is parallel with the edge of the second form.
Connect Forms as L (Bisector) - Extends or shortens two linear forms to their intersection, and creates a mitred corner joint between the two forms.
Connect Forms as Cross Joint - Connects two intersecting linear forms with a cross joint.
Clearance Enabled when Connect Forms as L (Bisector) is selected. If set to other than 0:0, defines the size of a gap placed between the forms to be connected. If set to 0:0, no gap forms at the junction.
