Converting Physical Models to Analytical Models

To convert a physical OpenBridge Modeler model to an analytical model in preparation to export the model to an ISM repository, use the following procedure.

  1. Select from the Substation Gallery.

    The Convert Model dialog opens.

  2. Select the Convert to Analytical Model option.
  3. Either:
    • Load a Template.
    • Specify additional analytical model information.
  • If you chose to specify additional analytical information do the next two steps:
    1. Type a Tolerance value, which is used to detect the proximity of trusses to frames to establish connectivity at a given location.
    2. Select a ShapeClass and ShapeSize to use for additional “dummy” shapes on top of substation frames and at the end of trusses.
    3. Click OK.
