Automated Drawings
You can automatically generate preliminary drawings for substructure and superstructure elements.
Dynamic View Technology
Dynamic Views is a general name that encompasses several related technologies which share a common goal of making model analysis and documentation more interactive and intuitive. Gone are the days when designs were just static views. They are replaced by the ability to create live, intelligent views of a design that update automatically as the design evolves.
Refer to Dynamic Views in the Bentley View help for additional details on using this feature.
Steel Beam Elevation Drawings
For a steel bridge, this dialog allows the user to pick the beam for which a typical schematic elevation view of the beam can be generated. All web, top flange, bottom flange, stiffener locations, field splice, shear stud ranges, support locations and overall beam lengths are drawn in a 2D drawing model. The vertical exaggeration allows the magnification of the vertical heights of the members so that the small heights of plates relative to the span lengths are more possible. Dimensions are also generated automatically. These drawings are currently intended to be a base on which to build and not final drawings.
Limitations
- Applicable only to OpenBridge Modeler standard piers and abutments for substructure drawings.
- Does not work with custom piers and abutments (i.e., user-drawn cells used for custom piers and abutments).
- Preliminary drawings do not include reinforcement.
- Steel Beam Elevation Drawings are not yet available for Steel Tub Girder Bridges
