Place Pier tool
Used to place pier templates on supportlines.
Found on the
Home ribbon tab in the
Substructure group.


To place the selected pier template onto supportlines, first select all the supportlines. Reset (right-click) to accept the group or click a pier a second time to subtract it from the group. Data point again to accept the selection set and continue.
If the Elevation Constraints option is checked, then the Pier Elevation Constraints dialog opens. Set the constraints and click Apply when done.

| Template Name | Click [?] to open the Template Selection dialog, which is used to select a pier template from the pier template library. Click Close to use the selected template. | ||||||
| Integral | Set this option to have the pier cast integral with the beams. | ||||||
| Horizontal Offset | Type an offset length along the supportline
direction.
Note: Positive is to
the right when looking up station.

| Apply Skew to Solids | When set, the program adjusts the end faces of the
pier caps to follow the deck edges on skewed supports.
Only applicable to rectangular pier caps. |

| Elevation Constraints | Set this option to open the Pier Elevation Constraints dialog when the selection set is accepted. This dialog is used to specify elevation constraints when placing pier or abutment templates on pier lines. | ||||||
| Cap Length Adjustment | Select either:

| Material group | Select the material to use for object components by selecting the associated [?] button and then selecting the material from the dialog. | ||||||
