Contains commonly used tools for creating and manipulating bridge objects.

Explorer 		Used to manage and control project content within OpenBridge Modeler .
Attach Tools

References 		Used to attach and detach referenced models, adjust reference settings and select reference tools.


Raster Manager 		Used to control the display of one or more raster images in a DGN file view.


Point Clouds 		Used to manage the display of one or more point clouds in a DGN file view.


Reality Mesh 		Opens the Reality Mesh Attachments dialog, which is used to attach and manipulate reality meshes.


Models 		Used to create, manage, and switch between models in the open DGN file.


Level Display 		Used to turn on and turn off levels in a model. Ctrl+E


Level Manager 		Used to control level display and level symbology for the open DGN/DWG file and attached references.


Properties 		Used to review or modify the properties of an element(s), such as its geometry.

Keyin 		Used to browse, construct, and enter key-ins.


Toggle AccuDraw 		Turns on/off AccuDraw, and the display of the AccuDraw Window, which is used to facilitate data point entry.


Auxiliary Coordinates 		Used to create, copy, delete, or import an Auxiliary Coordinate System (ACS) and to select ACS tools.


Saved Views 		Used to create, update, apply, import, and delete saved views and edit properties of saved views.

Saving a view allows you to quickly apply a view with specific attributes.



Cells 		Used to attach cell libraries and activate different types of cells, if one is attached.


Markups 		Used to view markups made in an overlay file in Bentley Navigator. A markup can be annotation text, freehand redlining, pen and area highlighting.


Details 		Used to display information related to what is selected in any of the tabs of the Explorer dialog.


Window List 		Used to display information related to what is selected in any of the tabs of the Explorer dialog.

Popset Enable/Disable

Turns on/off PopSet toggle, which is used to manage the display of the Tool Settings Window while you are not adjusting its controls.

Tool name Description Shortcut


Element Selection 		Used to select and deselect elements for modification or manipulation. The set of selected elements is called the selection set.


Select All 		Selects all elements in the design. Ctrl+A


Select None 		Deselects all elements in the design.
Fence Tools

Place Fence 		Used to place a fence.


Modify Fence 		Used to move a fence or modify one of its vertices.


Manipulate Fence Contents 		Used to move, copy, rotate, mirror, scale, or stretch fence contents, which are defined by a fence and (except for stretching) the Fence (Selection) Mode.


Delete Fence Contents 		Used to delete the fence contents, which are defined by a fence and the Fence (Selection) Mode, which determines what constitutes the contents of a fence.


Drop Fence Contents 		Used to break up the contents in a fence into their components.


Save Fence Contents 		Used to copy or move the contents of the active fence to a new DGN or DWG file.


Named Boundaries 		Used to manage named boundaries and named boundary groups.


Lock 		Locks selected elements. The attributes and location of a locked element cannot be changed. Locking is useful for preventing accidental element manipulation. If you try to manipulate a locked element, OpenBridge Modeler beeps to alert you that the element is locked. Ctrl+L


Unlock 		Unlocks selected locked elements. Each unlocked element can be manipulated. Ctrl+M


Bring to Front 		Brings the selected element to the front of the view display. Ctrl+L


Cut 		Used to cut selected elements to clipboard. Ctrl+X


Copy 		Used to copy selected elements to clipboard. Ctrl+C
Paste

Paste 		Used to paste elements from clipboard. Ctrl+V


Paste Special 		Used to select the data type and open the Paste OLE dialog where a special display format can be applied to the contents of the Clipboard.

Import

Geometry 		Used to import external civil data such as road alignment.


Terrain 		Used to import external terrain data into your OpenBridge Modeler design.


Bridge Wizard 		Used to parametrically generate a 3D bridge model with minimal input.


Add Bridge 		Used to add a new bridge to the OpenBridge Modeler design.


Add Unit 		Used to add a new bridge unit. The new unit will be the active unit.


Alignment 		Used to select an alignment in your project as the active alignment for the active bridge unit.


Move 		Used to specify a new station along the current bridge alignment for the start of the active bridge.


Terrain 		Used to select a terrain model as the current active terrain.


Add Multi-Units 		Used to add mutliple bridge units to the current bridge.

Place

Place Middle Point 		Used to place a supportline by the supportline's midpoint at a specified station.


Place Parallel 		Used to place a supportline parallel to an existing supportline.


Place Multi 		Used to place multiple supportlines which can have similar values or individually edited values.


Move 		Used to move or rotate an existing supportline to the position or orientation a previously placed target line.


Modify 		Opens the Modify Multi Supportlines dialog, which is used to modify multiple supportlines in the active unit.

Place Deck 		Used to place a deck template over supportlines.


Place Advanced Deck 		Used to place advanced decks for cast-in-place box bridges.


Beam Layout 		Used to layout beam lines for spans between supportlines.


Place Beam 		Used to select a beam definition for a beam layout.


Place Stiffeners 		Used to add transverse stiffeners to a steel girder superstructure.


Place Cross Frames 		Used to add steel cross frames to a steel girder superstructure.


Place Diaphragms 		Used to add concrete diaphragms between beams on concrete girder and slab type bridge.

Used to add Concrete Diaphragms for Steel beams at either end.

Place Steel Tubs

Used to place steel box girders (tub girders)


Assign Superelevation 		Used to assign a superelevation section to a bridge deck.
Place Segmental

Place Span by Span 		Used to place segmental bridge units span-by-span.


Place 		Used to place a balanced cantilever segment from a template.


Closure 		Used to automatically place cast-in-place closures between all free cantilever ends on a balanced cantilever bridge unit.


Report 		Used to generate an on-screen report of the balanced cantilever segments in each span of the active bridge unit.


Constraints 		Opens the Edit Constraints dialog, which contains a list of all templates used in the segmental bridge and a link to edit the constraints for each.

Place Pier 		Used to place pier templates on pier lines.


Place Abutment 		Used to place abutment templates on supportlines.


Place Custom Pier 		Used to place custom pier elements from a cell library on existing pier lines.


Place Custom Abutment 		Used to place custom abutment elements from a cell library on existing pier lines.


Place Wingwall 		Used to place wingwall templates on abutments.


Place Bearing 		Used to place bearings under beams or deck on existing pier lines.


Place Excavation 		Used to parametrically add an excavation volume to a terrain model.
