Abutment Templates (Edit) dialog

Used to edit abutment data for an abutment template.

Setting Description
Name Type a name to identify the abutment template name.
Category Type the name of the folder, either new or an existing name, for organizing abutment templates.
Type (For reference only) The abutment type is selected by the tool drop-down.

Cap tab

Setting Description
Cap Type Displays the selected cap type based on the abutment type selected.
Dimensions group Set the dimensions for the pile cap, back wall, corbel and optional cheek walls.
Misc group Specify the parameters used to align the piers.
Setting Description
Adjust Back Wall to Deck Top Check this option to have the top of the back wall follow the deck slope.

Footing tab

Type the dimensions for the rectangular footing vertically and on the pier line station.

Piles tab

Setting Description
Pile Shape Select the shape of piles used:
  • Rectangular
  • Circular
  • H Pile
  • Circular Drilled Shaft
  • Pipe Pile
The corresponding dimensions are displaced.
Pile Layout Click to open the Pile Layout dialog, which is used to specify pile layout parameters and automatically generate the pile layout.
Dimensions group
Setting Description
Pile Length Total length of pile including embedment length.
Rotation The angle of rotation of the piles.
