Used to define extras, weld chamfers, and drainage slots.
Setting
Description
Extras
(Extra
Plate selection) ? Sets the type of extra plate. Creates plates
parallel to the base plate in a direction aligned with the base plate.
None ? Creates
no extra plates.
Full ? Creates
a full plate with a hole the size of the extents of the selected shape.
Note: When
Width is set to
0, creates a circular plate.
Vertical ?
Creates two plates in a direction parallel to the width of the base plate. One
plate is created each side of the selected shape.
Note:Length
and
Width represent the extents of
these two plates not the individual plate sizes.
Horizontal ?
Creates two plates in a direction parallel to the length of the base plate. One
plate is created each side of the selected shape.
Note:Length
and
Width represent the extents of
these two plates not the individual plate sizes.
Both ? Creates
both horizontal and vertical plates, totaling four plates.
Length ? Sets
the dimension of the extents of the plates in a direction parallel to the width
of the base plate. A positive value determines the length. A negative value is
not permitted. The default is 400 or 16 depending on the units setting.
Width ? Sets
the dimension of the extents of the plates in a direction parallel to the
length of the base plate. A positive value determines the width. A negative
value is not permitted. The default is 400 or 16 depending on the units
setting.
Thickness ?
Sets the gusset plate thickness. A positive value determines the thickness. A
negative value of value of 0 is not permitted. The default is 8 or 0.25
depending on the units setting.
Height ? Sets
the offset dimension in a the normal direction of the base plate. A positive
value determines the height. A negative value or a value of 0 is not permitted.
The default is 100 or 4 depending on the units setting.
(Gusset) Weld Chamfers
(Gusset)
Weld Chamfers ? When checked, creates rectangular gusset plates.
When unchecked, creates gusset plates with a chamfer in the lower inner corner
to allow for the welding fillet of the selected shape to the base plate.
Chamfer
Horiz. / Vert. ? Sets the horizontal / vertical dimension for the
weld chamfer on the plate. A positive value determines the chamfer size. A
negative value is not permitted. A value of 0 for either Chamfer Horz. or
Chamfer Vert. indicates no chamfer is to be created. The default is 5 or 0.25
depending on the units setting.
Slots
Slot
Width ? Sets the slot width for slots on the Horizontal and
Vertical Gusset plates. A positive value determines the slot width. Negative
values are interpreted as positive values. A value of 0 indicates no slot is
created. The default is 0.
Slot
Height ? Sets the slot height for slots on the Horizontal and
Vertical Gusset plates. A positive value determines the slot height. Negative
values are interpreted as positive values. A value of 0 indicates no slot is
created. The default is 0.
Slot
Vertical ? When checked, creates drainage slots on the Vertical
Gusset plates.
Slot
Horizontal ? When checked, creates drainage slots on the Horizontal
Gusset plates.
