Used to set shape types and dimensions for web
connection.
Setting
Description
Joint Type
Sets the shape type for the joint plate, one selected
from the four options:
Angle Plate
Cleat
End Plate
None
The default is Angle Shape.
Support Type
Sets the shape type for the support, one selected
from the four options:
Support Base
Weld Plate
T-Shape
None
The default is Support Base.
Note: The
Weld Plate and
T-Shape options are disabled for the End
Plate joint.
Dimensions
Gap ? Sets the
gap between the end of connect shape and the flange of support shape in the
direction of the connect shape selected. A positive value determines the gap. A
negative value is to be read as its absolute value. The default is 10 or 0.4
depending on the units setting.
Upper
Offsest ? Sets the offset of the joint plate (or angle shape) to
the inner edge of the upper flange of the connect shape. A positive value
determines the length. A negative value is to be read as its absolute value.
The default is 10 or 0.4 depending on the units setting.
Lower
Offsest ? Sets the offset of the joint plate (or angle shape) to
the inner edge of the lower flange of the connect shape. A positive value
determines the length. A negative value is to be read as its absolute value.
The default is 10 or 0.4 depending on the units setting.
Options
Group ? When checked, the selected shape, plate and other created
objects are arranged to form a group. If the selected shape is already part of
an existing group then the created objects are added to that group.
With
Bolts ? Enabled for
Group. When checked, the bolts are added to
that group.
