Splice Connection C1 - Options tab

Setting	Description
Web Cut	Web Cut ? When checked, enables creation of web cut. Cutr Radius ? Sets the radius to the web cut.
Bolts	Bolt Type ? Sets the bolt style from the drop-down list. Bolt Diameter ? Sets the hole diameter of the selected bolt from the drop-down list of bolt diameter table. Workloose ? Sets the hole clearance of the desired drill holes, which usually consists of 2 mm.
Insert	Upper (side) ? When checked, attaches the plate connection to the upper side of the shape. Lower (side) ? When checked, attaches the plate connection to the lower side of the shape. Upper Inside ? When checked, attaches an additional plate to the inner upper side of the shape. Lower Inside ? When checked, attaches an additional plate to the inner lower side of the shape. Left ? When checked, attaches the plate connection to the left side of the shape. Right ? When checked, attaches the plate connection to the right side of the shape. Diagonal ? When checked, creates a bolted connection at one upper side and a welded connection at the other. For the lower side, it is just the opposite. Single Side ? When checked, attaches the splice joint to the side of the second shape to be connected in the form of a welded connection.
Weld Plate	Create Plates ? When checked, creates weld plate. Thickness / Length / Width ? Sets the plate dimensions.
Groove Weld	Groove Angle ? Sets the angle for groove used for weld. Weld Style ? Set the weld style selected from the available drop-down list styles.
Group	Group ? When checked, the web plate is assigned to a construction group together with the shape to be connected. If the shape is already part of another component group, the web plate will be assigned to the same group. With Bolts ? Enabled for `Group`. When checked, the bolts are added to that group.
Dimension	Gap ? Sets the distance to support shape.

Web Cut

Web Cut ? When checked, enables creation of web cut.
Cutr Radius ? Sets the radius to the web cut.

Bolts

Bolt Type ? Sets the bolt style from the drop-down list.
Bolt Diameter ? Sets the hole diameter of the selected bolt from the drop-down list of bolt diameter table.
Workloose ? Sets the hole clearance of the desired drill holes, which usually consists of 2 mm.
