Handrail

Used to add a parametric handrail along a polyline smartline. You are prompted to pick this polyline smartline, then the handrail is created along this line.

You can choose between a parametric construction of the handrail and a construction by user-defined cells. For the parametric construction, all component parts are directly created from the default settings in your dialogs. With the second variant, you use any user-defined cells which are automatically adapted within certain borders.

• ProStructures > Structural Objects > Handrails is selected, or
• the command PS_HANDRAIL is entered.

• Ribbon: Steel > Home > Structural Objects > Handrails > Handrail

The Handrail dialog is where you can set the specifications while verifying your input directly and immediately on the screen. The spatial development of the handrail may still be modified at a later time by changing the grips handles.

Dialog Controls

Setting	Description
OK	Closes the dialog and save your changes.
Cancel	Closes the dialog without saving changes.
Help	Opens online help.
Template	Saves and retrieve settings to be used on other projects.
Clone	Shifts focus to the geometry, allowing cloning the current structural object (stair, frame, truss, etc.) properties to match one or more objects selected in the view.
Show /Hide Preview	Opens or closes, respectively, a flyout panel to display an illustration based on the tool.
