Setting Description
Layout Sets the kind of layout of the joist.
Types available for selection are:
  • Shapes symmetrical ? The layout consists of upper and lower girder as well as of vertical and diagonal shapes.?
  • Single lacing ? The layout consists of upper and ceiling joists as well as of single bent intermediate beams.
  • Double lacing ? The layout consists of upper and ceiling joists as well as of double bent intermediate beams.?
  • Web memebr with rods 1 ? The layout consists of upper and ceiling joists as well as of type1 tension rods. Enables dimensions, Distance B to Distance E.
  • Web memebr with rods 2 ? The layout consists of upper and ceiling joists as well as of type2 tension rods. Enables additional dimension, Distance G.
The selected type enables or disables the following settings, as applicable.
Segment Count Sets the number of individual segments of joist.
  • For layout option 1, this number has to be divisible by 2,
  • For layout option 2 and 3, not to be divisible by 2, and
  • For remaining layout options, can have any number.
Segment Distance Sets the roof pitch of joist, this is the distance from one segment to the other.
Distance E..G Sets the distances between segments of web members with tension rods.
  • E ? the distance from the outside to the first minimum.
  • B ? the distance from the last minimum to the last maximum.
  • C ? the distance from the next to last maximum to the next to last minimum.
  • D ? the distance from the next to last minimum to the inner maximum.
  • G ? the distance of the inner segments.
Rounding radius Enabled for lacing type layouts. Sets the radius for the internal shapes. This is the rounding radius at the two lacing types.
