Plate Funnel Enhanced - Top/Bottom Opening tab

Used to design and define the dimensions of top and bottom openings of the chute.

Setting Description
Top / Bottom Length Sets the inside distance of top / bottom opening in the Y direction (Length). These values can only be positive.
Top / Bottom Width Sets the inside distance of top opening in the X direction (Width). These values can only be positive.
Top / Bottom Length & Width Sym

for Top Opening tab ?when checked, the Top Length and Top Width will be the same, based on the Top Length value.

for Bottom Opening tab ?when checked, the Bottom Length and Bottom Width will be the same, based on the Bottom Length value.

Create Top / Bottom Flange When checked, in respective tabs activates the Flange and Edge options; the chute will the ability to have a top / bottom flange made from a plate or shape.

With Holes in Width (for Top Opening)
When checked, the top flange is made from a plate.
  • Width ? Sets a positive width value of the Top Flange of Plate.
  • Thickness ? Sets a positive thickness value of the Top Flange of Plate
  • One-Piece ? When checked, disables Cut Type settings, and the shape is treated as a single piece.
Create from Plate (for Bottom Opening)
When checked, the bottom flange is made from a plate.
  • Width ? Sets a positive width value of the Bottom Flange of Plate.
  • Thickness ? Sets a positive thickness value of the Bottom Flange of Plate.
  • One-Piece ? When checked, disables Cut Type settings, and the shape is treated as a single piece.
Create from Shape The Top flange / Bottom flange is made from a shape (E.g. 100x10 Flat).

When this option is checked rather than With Holes In Width (for Top Opening) or Create from Plate (Bottom Opening), enables Shape settings.

The extend settings provide shape directional constraints used to offsetting the ends, as well as rotating the top and bottom flange.
  • Shape Catalog ? Sets the shape class to use for the members from the drop down list.
  • Shape Size ? Sets the shape size to use for the members from the drop down list.
  • Extend Length ? Sets the extend for ends of the top and bottom flanges in the length direction when made from a shape. Applicable for Length Cut Type.
  • Extend Width ? Sets the extend for ends of the top and bottom flanges in the width direction when made from a shape. Applicable for Width Cut Type.
  • Rotation Angle ? Sets the rotation to the top and bottom flange when made from a shape. The value can be positive or negative. Applicable for Mitre Cut Type.
Cut Type From these three options you can choose the end cut condition of the top / bottom flange as a plate.
  • Length ? Cuts the width side short of the length side as shape or flush as plate Extends the end of the flange in the Length direction.
  • Width ? Cuts the width side short of the width side as shape or flush as plate. Extends the end of the flange in the Width direction.
  • Mitre ? Cuts the corners with a 45? cut. Joining them symmetrically. Rotates the flange, without extending any end.
Shape Insert Determines the insertion point on the plate or shape. There are nine justification options available in the drop-down list.
