Connection Parameters Manager
Used to set parameters for the
user connection components and define the variables and expressions to the
connection components.
Accessed from:
Ribbon: Steel > Home > User Connection > Single Member/Two Member > Create User Connection > Parameters > Connection Parameters Manager.
| Setting | Description |

| Name | Specify the name of the Element. |
| Object | The Object type gets displayed. |
| Thickness (fx) | Specify the thickness. |
| Length (fx) | Specify the length . |
| Width (fx) | Specify the width. |
| Material | Select the grade of material from the drop-down list. |
| Description | Select the member type from the description drop-down list. |
| Area Class | Specify the Area Class from the drop-down list. |
| Display Class | The Display Class is specified once the Area Class is chosen, it can also be specified from the drop-down list. |
| Part Family | Select the Part family from the drop-down list. |
| Detail Style | Sets the detail style for the User Connection components. |
| Process Status | Choose the Process Status from the drop-down list. |
| Item Number | Type the item number. |
| Level | Choose the level. |
| Note 1/Note 2 | You can add notes in this section. |
| Prompt Message | You can specify the prompt message that will be showed once the supporting element is selected. |

To edit and place a Connection using “Connection Parameters Manager”:

The User Connection is created and gets displayed in the Gallery.
