To set up a part family

  1. Select (Parts Family).
    The Part Families dialog opens.
  2. Double click on the desired raw in the display area.
    The Part Family dialog opens.
  3. Enter ore revise the Description for the part family.
  4. In the Position Prefix field, assign a prefix to the part family.
  5. If desired, change the Colour in the Model Settings and 2D Detail Settings areas.
    1. Select the (Color Selection) tool.
    2. Pick a new color.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Select a Detail Style from the drop-down list.
  6. In the Linetype Selection field, select a line type to use for 2D detailing.
  7. Click .
    The part family record is updated.
