To place a user-defined strip footing

Select one of the below placement options, and follow the steps as described:

Option	Description
Insert Strip Footing by Specified Points	On your model, click to place the first corner for your strip footing. Continue clicking to place additional corners as needed. Note: If the shape is closed, the footing will be drawn when you close the shape. If the shape is not closed, right click to end the footing.
Insert Strip Footing by 2D Smartline, Circle, or Arc	On your model, click to select the desired line.
Insert Strip Footing by Line	On your model, click to select the existing line that represents your footing line. Tip: The line can be a grid line or the bottom of a wall.
