Prepare Your Model: Run Positioning and Create Views
Before you begin the actual steps of detailing:
- For
cast in place detailing: Create work frame views
using the
(Select
View) tool. A view is simply a piece of the model for which you
want to create a 2D drawing. A work frame serves as the boundary for each view.
For example, if you want to create a 2D drawing of a beam-column intersection,
you first draw a work frame around the desired area on the model and create the
desired view. For details,
Select View dialog.
- For precast detailing or assembly instructions: Assign position numbers to all parts on the model. Positioning for instructions on assigning position numbers.
