To add a straight fall

Straight falls are added to existing slabs.

  1. Optional: If you are placing the fall by Smartline smartline, draw the shape for your fall in the Plan view at the correct elevation.
  2. Select the Add Slab Features tool.
    The Slab Features dialog opens.
  3. Type the distance of your fall in the Depth1 field.
  4. Select the desired Create Fall option:

    Create Fall by Smartline On your model, click a existing Smartline smartline shape as the area of the fall.
    Create Fall by Points On your model, click to select points (on your slab) that form the boundaries of the area for the fall.
  5. In your model, select the slab.
  6. Identify the designated area for the fall. Based on your Create Fall option:
    • Click to select the existing Smartline smartline.
    • Click points on the model to create a shape that forms the boundary of your fall.
