To add a polycut opening

Polycut openings are added to existing slabs.

  1. Optional: If you are placing the opening by Smartline smartline, draw the shape for your opening in the Plan view at the correct elevation.
  2. Select the Add Slab Features tool.
    The Slab Features dialog opens.
  3. Select one of the following placement options:

    Create Polycut by Smartline

    In your model, select an existing smartline shape as the area of the opening.

    Create Polycut by Points In your model, select points (on your slab) that form the boundaries of the opening.
  4. In your model, select the slab.
  5. Click to identify and place the opening. Based on your Create Polycut option:
    • Click to select the existing Smartline.
    • Click points on the model to create a shape that forms the boundary of your opening.
