NC Data

Used to generate NC / DXF data from selected objects in the OpenBridge Modeler 3D model.

Accessed from:
  • Ribbon: Steel > Data/Reporting > Reporting > NC - Data
  • Backstage: File > Export > ProStructures File Types > NC - Data
  • The NC Data tool is selected in the ProSteel Edit group, or
  • ProStructures > Additions > NC-Data is selected, or
  • The command PS_NC_DATA is entered into the command prompt.

The NC Data dialog lists the data tree structure in the left pan as below:

Dialog Controls

Setting Description
OK Closes the dialog and save your changes.
Cancel Closes the dialog without saving changes.
Help Opens online help.
Template Saves and retrieve settings to be used on other projects.
Create NC Files Starts the NC output. You will be prompted to select the parts for which the NC data have to be generated. After all parts have been selected, the parts structure is analyzed and the corresponding data records of the NC file are generated.
Favorites
  • Current Settings - Select when you haven't created any template and you want to use the current settings of the dialog instead.
  • Bentley/Default - Select when you want to use the application default settings template and you don't want to use the current settings of the dialog instead.
