To place a beam group on a beam layout, use the
following procedure.
You must have at
least one beam layout added to your model.

Either:

On the
Home ribbon tab, select the
Place Beam tool in the
Superstructure group.
- Key in
bmgeom
beam
placebeamgroup
- Optional:
Specify tool settings as necessary.

For Steel beams, built-up or rolled, select the appropriate start
and end beam orientation, vertical or normal to Profile.

In the view window, do the following:

select an existing beam layout
Tip: It may be helpful to switch to
isometric view or otherwise rotate the view if the deck or other objects make
selecting a beam layout difficult.

data point to accept the selection
The
Beam Definition dialog opens.
You must now define the beams using one of the following methods, based
on the type of girder bridge modeled.
