To create a connection plate template

To create transverse stiffener template for use with modeling steel girder bridges, use the following procedure.

  1. Either:
    • on the Utilities ribbon tab, select the Stiffeners tool in the Libraries group

    • Key in: bmlib manage connectionplate
    The Beam Connection Plate Library dialog opens.
  2. Click Add.
    A new connection plate template is added to the list.
  3. Type the required template parameters:
    • Template Name
    • Width
    • Thickness
  4. Specify Material.
  5. Specify corner clip dimensions on each corner as necessary.
  6. Optional: Repeat steps 2 through 5 to add additional stiffener templates.
  7. Click Save.
