Place Multi SupportLines tool

Used to place multiple supportlines which can have similar values or individually edited values.

Found on the Home ribbon tab in the Support Line group.

To place multi supportlines, you must specify three data points:
  1. Start location (defaults to Start Station settings value)
  2. Direction Mode (defaults to Direction Mode settings value)
  3. End Location (defaults to End Station settings value)

Once these points are entered, the Place Multi supportlines dialog opens. Here you can type individual pier line values, such as Name, Station (if not equally spaced), Skew Angle, and Length.

Tool Settings

SettingDescription
Skew Angle Type the skew angle to use for the supportlines. This value can be changed for individual spans using the Place Multi SupportLines dialog.
Length Type the transverse length of the supportline. This value can be changed for individual spans using the Place Multi SupportLines dialog.
Span Length Type the default span length between subsequent supportlines placed using this tool. This value can be changed for individual spans using the Place Multi SupportLines dialog.
Start Station Type the start station along the alignment for the first supportline.
End Station Type the end station along the alignment for the last supportline.
Number of supportlines Type the number of supportlines to be placed using this tool.
Direction Mode
  • Skew — Orient by supportline skew.
  • Direction — Uses the MicroStation Direction Mode as selected on the Design File Settings dialog Angle Readout tab.
Feature group
SettingDescription
Feature Definition Select an existing feature definition from the drop-down list to use for object being placed.
Name Prefix Type a prefix value to use for all objects set using this Feature Definition, which are useful in quickly identifying features in a group.
