Weld Style Display tab

The depiction of weld symbols is determined by styles, which have to be selected at the corresponding positions. You may set these styles here.

Setting	Description
Weld Style	Use this box to select the style that has to be applied for the display. Created Geometry. The depiction of weld symbols is defined in this dialog by means of specified parameters.
Cell Geometry	The depiction of weld symbols is defined by means of any cell that can be selected.
Cell Path	In this field you specify the cell path for selecting the geometry of the weld symbols have to be read.
Bitmap	You can set your own bitmap for better recognition of the style. This bitmap is displayed in the selection box as well.
Weld flag specific settings	Opens Welding Symbol Definition dialog. Used to specify the welding symbol definition settings of the weld symbol or the weld seam. The welding symbol supports the DIN EN ISO 2553 standard.
Top side settings	Opens the Weld Style Display dialog. Used to specify the special settings for the upper side of the weld symbol (upper weld seam).
Down side settings	Opens the Weld Style Display dialog. Used to specify the special settings for the lower side of the weld symbol (lower weld seam).
Set part list data	Opens the Weld Style Display dialog for material settings. Used to specify further settings for the evaluation in the parts lists.
Save weld style	Saves the current settings as style.
Load weld style	Loads a style for the weld symbols and to use it again.

The additional "edge" point supports in creation and also seen in property dialog. It is shown perpendicular to the line indicates the additional 'edge' point is inserted in the welding symbol line.

General Default Settings

Setting	Description
Standard	Sets legacy or one of the internationally aligned German/European standards DIN EN ISO 2553 for presentation of weld symbols. Available options are: Legacy ISO 2553 Type A ISO 2553 Type B Added "edge" point support in creation and property dialog.
Line Type	Here you specify the type of the guideline. No Line – No guideline will be displayed. Normal Line – The guideline consists of only one single line. Line with Arrow – The guideline has an additional arrow at the origin of the line. Line with Point – The guideline has an additional point at the origin of the line. Line with Cell – The guideline has an additional block of any kind at the origin of the line.
Line Block	Here you can select the cell, if the option ‘Line with Cell’ has been selected.
Text Style	Here you indicate the font for the labels.
Options	Select the type of weld seam. All around – The weld symbol is added for an all around weld seam. Field Weld – The weld symbol is added for an on-site seam. Replaced - The weld symbol is added for an alternating weld seam. Staggered – Staggered entries are displayed instead of an extra symbol for an alternating weld seam. Tail –The weld symbol is added by using this sign.
Text Size	Size of the label text
Symbol Size	Size of symbol representation. The entry fields Text Size and Symbol Size determine Scale.
Colour	Specify the color numbers for the Line, the Symbol and for the Text.

Defaults Upper and Lower Side

Setting	Description
Thickness	The thickness of the weld seam.
Prefix	A prefix placed in front of the thickness of the weld seam.
Length	The length of the weld seam
Gap	Here you can indicate a gap in the weld seam.
Comment	Here you can indicate a comment to the weld symbols.
Add. Length	Additional length details
Symbol	In this list, you can select the type of the weld seam (fillet weld, HV weld, etc.).
Toward Position	Indicates whether the weld seam has to be carried out in this way. Sets available opposite symbol.
Symmetrical	The bottom side data corresponds to those of the top side (only available in ‘top side’). When checked, sets the lower side of the weld seam equal to the upper side, and disabled the ‘down side’ settings icon.

Defaults Parts List

Setting	Description
Material	Sets the weld material which has to be used.
In Partlist	When checked, registers the created weld seam to appear in the parts list.
Weight/LU	The weight of the weld seam per row per length unit.
Price/LU	The price of the weld seam per row per length unit.
