Undo Rebar

Used to reinstate the previous version of last saved bar to the database.

Whenever you create or modify a single reinforcing bar, many hundreds of standard tools are executed to create the bar elements. Removing the bar elements from the DGN file using the standard Undo tool is very time-consuming.

Note: Moreover, although the Undo tool can remove the bar elements you see on the screen, it cannot remove the bar entry from the 2D Rebar database, or remove its respective entry in the Schedule Listing and associated bar chart. The use of theUndo tool is therefore inappropriate insofar as 2D Rebar details are concerned.

When you select the Undo Bar tool, 2D Rebar deletes the last bar saved to the database and reinstates it with the previous version of that bar. Selecting the same icon for the second and third time removes the 2nd last and 3rd last bars saved to the database (respectively), replacing them with the previous version of those bars. A limit is placed on the number of bars saved by 2D Rebar in the Undo Bar buffer. You can configure this limit using the UNDO parameter in display.sys.

Be aware that as the Undo buffer becomes larger, more memory is consumed to maintain it. It is also important to note a change to just one Dynamic Dimension (attached to your concrete arrangement) could lead to changes in a large number of bars in a single instant. You should not use Undo Bar to reinstate details modified by a change in the concrete arrangement. Undo Bar does not undo changes in concrete dimensions. Your only alternative in these situations is to select the Dynamic Dimension again and re-enter its original value.

Note: There is no Redo Bar facility.
