Longitudinal Bar Defaults

Used to set default preferences to longitudinal bars.

Accessed from:
  • Ribbon: Concrete > Drawing Production > Rebar Defaults > Main Bar Defaults > Longitudinal Bar Defaults
SettingDescription
Color / Weight These defaults control placement of all circles drawn to represent longitudinal (or transverse) reinforcement adjacent to main bars in section. Simply select the Color and Weight from the drop down lists.
Filled Circles When checked, draws all longitudinal bar circles as filled elements.
Note: In order to see these filled circles the Fill option must be active in the View Attributes.
First/Last Only When checked, draws only the first and last bar of a bar group with all internal circles removed (for example, to clarify a congested area of bars).
Note: All circles in the bar group do appear while you are placing or modifying a bar. The internal circles are only removed when a bar is finally saved.
Stroke-Thru When checked, draws strike through pattern to longitudinal bar.
Note: When placement of any new bar begins, the Longitudinal Bar Defaults are immediately loaded into the bar as attributes to that bar. From that moment on, they are referred to as Longitudinal Bar Attributes and can be modified at any stage during the detailing process, thereby allowing you to override their current ‘default’ values. Although all new bars always start with the same initial Longitudinal Bar Defaults, they might eventually be saved with completely different Longitudinal Bar Attributes. These attributes can only be changed while placing or modifying a bar.
