Standard Baseplate - Galvanization Holes tab

Used to parametrically add drain holes for galvanization fluid to a baseplate connection.
SettingDescription
Galvanization holes Sets the location of the galvanization holes to add to the connection:
  • None – No holes are added.
  • Web of the connected shape – Additional holes are drilled in the web of the column.
  • Baseplate – Additional holes are drilled in the baseplate.
Galvanization hole type (Active for Baseplate selection only).

Sets the hole pattern used for baseplate galvaniztion holes.

  • Center hole - Single hole is added to the baseplate, at the geometric center of the column.
  • 2 holes - Two holes are added at opposing corners of the baseplate.
  • 4 holes - Four holes are added, one in each quadrant of the baseplate.
Distance from Flange (Active for Web of Connected Shape only).

Sets the distance from the inside of the column to the center of the galvanization holes in the web.

Distance from Baseplate (Active for Web of Connected Shape only).

Sets the distance from the baseplate along the length of the column to the centerline of the galvanization holes in the web.

X-Distance (Active for 2 holes or 4 holes patterns in Baseplate only).

Sets the horizontal spacing (parallel to column web) of the galvanization holes, centered on the beam web. The default is calculated as the column flange thickness plus two times the hole diameter.

Y-Distance (Active for 2 holes or 4 holes patterns in Baseplate only).

Sets the vertical spacing (parallel to column flanges) of the galvanization holes, centered on mid-depth of the column. The default value is calculated as the column depth minus two times flange thickness minus two times the hole diameter.

Diameter Sets the diameter of the galvanization holes in thebaseplate or web of the column.
Tip: The standard hole diameter per DIN EN ISO 1461 is 20 mm.
