Fly Brace Connection - Shapes tab

Used to set brace shape for fly brace connection.

Setting	Description
Brace Settings	Shape Class – Sets the shape type from the installed shape database's. Select the required shape type from the list. The default is the first type in the list. Upper End – Sets the distance the brace shape extends beyond the hole at the purlin end of the brace. Enter a positive value to determine the upper offset. A negative value or value of 0 will produce undesired results. The default is 25 or 1 depending on the units setting. Lower End – Sets the distance the brace shape extends beyond the hole at the shape end of the brace. Enter a positive value to determine the upper offset. A negative value or value of 0 will produce undesired results. The default is 25 or 1 depending on the units setting. By Angle – When checked, enables Angle setting. Angle – Sets the angle of the brace measured from the cross-sectional Y axis of the shape selected. Enter a positive or negative value to determine the angle. The default is 45°. Distance – Sets the dimension which controls the position of the brace. The distance is measured from the centre of the selected shape in a direction parallel to the cross-sectional X axis of the selected shape. Enter a positive value to determine the distance. The default is 300 or 12 depending on the units setting. Distance setting is enabled when Angle is unchecked. Shape Size – Sets the shape size from selected shape type. Select the required shape size the list. The default is the first size in the list. Flip Shape – When checked, reverses the shape. The brace is positioned with the flange on the upper side of the brace. When unchecked, it is position on the lower side of the brace.
