ZEMAN® Assembler

NC Information for ZEMAN® Robotics Machines

ZEMAN® is a machine manufacturer for structural steel. They have separate XML format for creation of assemblies specially welded assemblies. The ZEMAN® XML utility added to NC-DSTV engine provides user of having Zeman Steel Beam Assembler with high-precision welding robots to automat manufacturing process. It is used to generate xml files and set of NC files for ZEMAN® robotic assembler. It gives any group data consisting various subparts from the OpenBridge Modeler in form of XML format. This XML describes simple Information such as Length, Weight, Position number of groups etc. as well as it provides location and rotation of subparts attached with reference to main part.

Attention: This XML created for Beam/Column Group is used as Input for Steel Beam Assembler(SBA) machine from ZEMAN® Bauelemente Company.

This utility provides combined result of NC+XML for Beam Group or Column Group from OpenBridge Modeler at single place, from where it can be read by the SBA (Steel Beam Assembler) and perform operation of attaching sub parts of Beam/Column to the main part of the groups.

The following output files can be expected from utility:
  • XML file (for the selected groups)
  • NC file (All NC file required and correspondent to XML file)
Prerequisite: The only prerequisites required to generate Output for ZEMAN® i.e. NC and XML is that a valid Column/Beam group must have “Group Position Number” and their sub parts must have “Part Position Number”.
Note: When a group contains only main part and no sub parts attached to, then the Group is eliminated when generating an XML file.
In absence of group or part position number to the selected members,OpenBridge Modeler prompts appropriate message of "No position numbers".

For ZEMAN® SBA NC generation file name is hardcoded with %Position Number%. It is expected to work only for Zeman SBA option.

The XML generated for ZEMAN® SBA consists of two parts:
  1. Group Related Information, e.g. Length, Name, Material etc.
    • Written in the HEAD tags.
  2. Part Related Information, e.g. Location, Rotation & relation with respect to Main part of group. The part information is grouped in four sections:
    • Part description
    • Part location, and
    • Part rotation with reference to global co-ordinate system of Zeman SBA.
    • NC file reference of the part.
Note: When configuration variable"PS_ZEMANASSEMBLER_SHOWSUBPARTAXIS" is set, the output draws UCS.
The generated Zeman robotic assembler output is also monitored into our log file.
