To place an auxiliary object by point

To place an auxiliary bridge objected at a specific point, use the following procedure.

You must associate a feature with a cell object in order to use that cell.

An auxiliary bridge object is contained in a cell library. These may be lighting, scuppers, etc.
  1. Either:

    on the Home ribbon tab, select the Place Point tool in the Auxiliary group

    or

    key in bmgeom appurtenance placebydatapoint

  2. (Optional) Specify Active Angle and Horizontal and Vertical Offset values as necessary to place the cell in the correct orientation from the insertion point.
  3. Select the Feature Definition which is associated with the cell you want to use.
  4. In the View Window, data point at the insertion point to place the cell. A preview of the cell is attached to the mouse pointer. The optional orientation, scaling, and offset tool settings are applied to the preview. The cell is placed as an auxiliary object in your model.
  5. Repeat Step 4 to place additional auxiliary objects.
