Place Approach Reference Line

To Place an Approach Reference Line, use the following procedure below

You can only define one Approach line for the start of the bridge, and one for the end of the bridge.

  1. On the Home ribbon tab, select the Place Approach Reference Line tool in the Approach Slab group.
  2. In the Place Approach Reference Line tool settings dialog:
    1. Type the Skew Angle value if not normal to the alignment
    2. Type the Approach Reference Line Length
    3. (Optional) Input a Horizontal Offset distance to graphically position the Approach Reference line left (-ve) or right(+ve) of the alignment intersection.
    4. Type Offset from Support Line, i.e. the distance between the nearest support line and the approach reference line, measured along the alignment.
    5. Select the appropriate Location at Start or End of the Bridge.
  3. You can graphically enter these values or click through the input in the view window, if you did not lock the input values above by checking the boxes next to the input fields

The Approach Reference Line is placed.
