Creating a Double Horizontal Leg Brace

To use this Substation Gallery tool to create a connection, follow this procedure.

Supporting shapes are limited to pipe or hollow HSS tubes, and connecting shapes/braces to equal or unequal angles.

  1. Select from the Substation Gallery.

    The Single Horizontal Leg Brace dialog opens.

  2. To identify the Double Horizontal Leg Brace location, do the following in sequence:
    1. Select the supporting leg.
    2. Select the first framing brace member.
    3. Select the second framing brace member.
  3. Either:

    Specify the connection parameters.

    or

    Load a Template.

  4. (Optional) If you loaded a template, you may modify the parameters as necessary.
  5. Click OK.
