Insertion Points with Alignment

You can define the alignment for each insertion point on the point itself to increase the available alignment variations. Otherwise, only the cell alignment determined during cell creation is available. Insertion Points with Alignment allows the cell to be rotated directly during insertion.
  1. Open the cell DGN by right clicking the cell in the Selection dialog, and selecting Edit Cell from the context menu.
  2. Right click on the cell again (in the Selection dialog), and select Insertion Points with ACS from the context menu.

The model is activated. You are prompted to "Pick another insertion Point/Reset to Cancel".

  3. Pick a point.

You are prompted to "Enter point on x-axis of the wanted ACS".

  4. Pick another point.

You are prompted to "Enter point in the xy plane of the wanted ACS".

  5. Pick another point.

The insertion point with alignment is complete. You are prompted to "Pick another insertion Point/Reset to Cancel".

  6. (Optional) Repeat steps to add another insertion point with alignment.
  7. Reset (right click) to complete and Cancel.
