The logical links are required for dimensioning and recognition of neighboring parts. These are created during most OpenBridge Modeler processing functions.

However, if there isn’t any link between two component parts, a “manual link” can be placed between the parts. The only task of this link is to create a dependency; it hasn’t got any additional function.

To create a manual link, use the (Add Manual Link) tool, where you first select the attached part of the connection (this should be the adjacent part, e.g. the latch-bolt) and then the part  that it has to be connected to (e.g. the support). A logical dependency between the component parts is created which is important for dimensioning.
