Portal Frame - Left / Right Knee tabs

Used to select the connection type for joining the left crossbar with the left vertical frame member. The same dialog tab is opened for the right knee.

Note: When the Symmetrical setting is checked in the Dimensions tab, the entries are locked there and the settings for the right knee are adopted from the left one.

Setting	Description
Connection	For both, the Left knee and the Right knee, the selected option sets the type of connection between crossbar and support.
Extend/Trim	Cuts the crossbar to the support. Distance – Sets the distance for the part.
Angle cut	Cuts the crossbar and the support to have a mitred joint. Gap – Sets the distance for the part.
Haunch	Sets the connection design as a frame haunch. Template – Sets the haunch template from the available selection list.
Free plate	Sets the connection design as a plate connection. Template – Sets the haunch template for the plate connection from the available selection list. Turn – When checked, rotates the unsymmetrical plate vertical.
Align As is	No connections are made.
