Splice Connection - Options tab

Setting	Description
Gap and Bolts	Gap (distance) – Sets the distance between the two shapes to be respected. Bolts – Sets the desired bolt style for the connection. Dia – Sets the desired bolt diameter from the list or enter the value directly if this option has been activated. Workloose – Sets the hole clearance of the desired drill holes, which usually consists of 2 mm.
Insert	Upper (side) – When checked, attaches the plate connection to the upper side of the shape. Lower (side) – When checked, attaches the plate connection to the lower side of the shape. Single Side – When checked, attaches the splice joint to the side of the second shape to be connected in the form of a welded connection. Upper Inside – When checked, attaches an additional plate to the inner upper side of the shape. Lower Inside – When checked, attaches an additional plate to the inner lower side of the shape. Diagonal – When checked, creates a bolted connection at one upper side and a welded connection at the other. For the lower side, it is just the opposite. Left – When checked, attaches the plate connection to the left side of the shape. Right – When checked, attaches the plate connection to the right side of the shape.
Group	Group – When checked, the web plate is assigned to a construction group together with the shape to be connected. If the shape is already part of another component group, the web plate will be assigned to the same group. The group excludes inside plates. With Bolts – Enabled for `Group`. When checked, the bolts are added to that group.
As Polyplate	Upper / Lower / By side – When checked, the upper / lower / side plates are created as poly plates, respectively.

Upper / Lower / By side – When checked, the upper / lower / side plates are created as poly plates, respectively.
