Creating an elevation flag

  1. Select (Elevation Flags).

    The Elevationflags dialog opens.

  2. Set the styles and other flag parameters as desired.
  3. While in Insert tab, click the button corresponding to the global direction of measurement:
    Button Description
    Distance is along the Z-direction
    Distance is along the X-direction
    Distance is along the Y-direction
The icons represent the desired measurement and the elevation.

    The dialog closes, momentarily.

  4. In the drawing view select the definition point (dimension point) for the elevation.
Note: Once selected, the Ortho is activated automatically. The elevation flag must lie in the same orthogonal plane as the selected definition point.
  5. Select the position point for the elevation.
Note: If Ortho was not activated previously, then it is once again turned off.
  6. Select a position for the dimension text.

Right click reopens the Elevationflags dialog.

The elevation flag is placed.
