Element Modification - Plates tab

SettingDescription
Corner used to modify the edges of a non-processed plate. In addition, this can be useful for data export if modifications of the perimeter are not supported there.
  • - Adds another edge to the plate. Typically, you select the plate at the vertex insertion position. A new contour point will be created at the picked position, which can be moved using the handles.
  • - Deletes an edge from the plate.
  • Exact point input - Set this option to specify the distance value to the new corner after selecting the insertion point.
Edges
  • - Transfers the contour of a plate to other plates.
  • - Matches the basic polygon of a plate processed by cuts to the current plate. The corresponding modifications become superfluous and are deleted.
Miter cuts
  • - Combines two plates by means of a mitred cut. A bisecting line determines the cutting plane.
  • - Combines two plates by means of a mitred cut. The intersection points of outer and inner edges determine the cutting plane.
  • Don't lengthen plates - When on, the miter cuts performed on plates that do not intersect are only applied to the first plate selected. The second plate is not lengthened or mitred.
  • Gap - Specifies a gap to be maintained between the plates at the miter cuts.

Processing by Means of the Plate Editor

Using the 3D-modifications, you also can modify the plates by means of the Plate Editor. Click to open the Plate Editor dialog.
