Convert Frame Type

Used to parametrically transform selected frames to a different frame type.

The Convert Frame Type tool is template driven, where you specify a corresponding template to the frame type desired to convert to.

Restriction: Corresponding templates must be previously created and available prior to using this tool.

Setting	Description
New Frame Type	Used to select the type of frames to convert to. Select one of the following: Symmetric A Frame Vertical A Frame Trestle Single Frame
Template	Selects a template to load.
Rotation	Rotates the new frames by the angle entered on the available field.
Delete Old Frame	When on, the original frames are deleted. When off, they are retained.
OK	Closes the dialog and save your changes.
Cancel	Closes the dialog without saving changes.
Help	Opens online help.
Template	Saves and retrieve (Using Templates) settings to be used on other projects.
Clone	Shifts focus to the geometry, allowing cloning the current structural object (stair, frame, truss, etc.) properties to match one or more objects selected in the view.
Show /Hide Preview	Opens or closes, respectively, a flyout panel to display an illustration based on the tool.
