To place the deck

To place the deck, do the following.

You must first create the deck template for use in this procedure.
  1. On the Home ribbon tab, select the Place Deck tool in the Superstructure group.

  2. In the Place Deck tool settings dialog, select the deck template to use:
    1. Click […] adjacent to the Template Name setting. The Template Selection dialog opens.
    2. In the Decks list, select the Deck Slabs > US301 over RR template you previously created.
    3. Click OK.
    The US301 over RR template is now selected.
  3. (Optional) In the Place Deck tool settings dialog, clear the Add Constraints check box if it is selected.
    Note: No further constraints are needed for this bridge deck.

    Leave the other settings as their default values (i.e., Start Station Offset, End Station Offset, Horizontal Offset and Vertical Offset all 0.0).

  4. Select Deck as the Feature Definition.
  5. In the view window, do the following:
    1. select supportline 1 as the first deck boundary
    2. select supportline 4 as the second deck boundary
    3. data point a third time to accept
The deck is placed over the supportlines.

If you did not clear the Add Constraints check box, then the Solid Constraints Definition dialog opens. Click Apply to continue.
