To import terrain

To import terrain data for the US301 project, use the following procedure.

  1. On the Home ribbon tab, select the Import > Terrain tool in the Bridge Setup group


    The Select Files To Import dialog open.
  2. Navigate to …\WorkSpaces\Imperial Standards\WorkSets\Tutorial 1\dgn, select US301 over RR.tin, and then click Done.

    By default, the WorkSpace folder is located in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBridge Modeler CONNECT Edition\Configuration\ .

    Note: The folder C:\ProgramData\ is hidden by default in Windows. You will need to make it visible. Refer to for information on how to do this for different versions of Windows.
    The Import Terrain Model(s) dialog opens.
  3. Select Feet from the Source File Units drop-down list.
  4. Select Existing > Existing Boundary as the Feature Definition.
  5. Click Import. Once the process is completed, the dialog status bar reads Import Complete.
  6. Close the Import Terrain Model(s) dialog.
The terrain is now have been imported into your OpenBridge Modeler project.
