In Windows, you can select text, bitmapped graphics, and metafiles to be copied or cut and copied to the Clipboard.

You can place elements selected in MicroStation PowerDraft in the Windows Clipboard in several formats:

• MicroStation PowerDraft Elements — This format is recognized only by MicroStation PowerDraft and is used if the elements are pasted back into the model.
• Enhanced Metafile — This format is used to paste vectors into other applications.
• MicroStation PowerDraft View Object — This format is used to paste an entire MicroStation PowerDraft view into other applications. You must use the OLESERVE VIEWCOPY <view_number> key-in to copy the view.
• Device Independent Bitmap — This format is available only if the OLESERVE VIEWCOPY <view_number> key-in is used to copy the view.
• Text — This format is available only if a text element is selected.
