Layout Advanced Dialog

Used to specify disproportionate scaling, mirroring, and fence alignment.

You can access this dialog from the following:
  • Print Organizer: double-click a print definition and select More from the Layout section of the Main tab
  • Print Organizer: right-click a print definition, select Properties, and select More from the Layout section of the Main tab
  • Print Organizer: select a print definition, select Edit > Properties, and select More from the Layout section of the Main tab


SettingDescription
Disproportionate scaling Enables or disables disproportionate scaling. When enabled, the Size X and Size Y size boxes operate independently and the Rescale factor fields are enabled; when disabled, the Rescale factor fields are disabled and reset to 1,1.
X Size Sets the X, or width, dimension of the printed output, in printer units. The X and Y size boxes operate independent of one another allowing you to change the print's aspect ratio.
Y Size Sets the Y, or height, dimension of the printed output, in printer units. The X and Y size boxes operate independent of one another allowing you to change the print's aspect ratio.
X Rescale factor Sets the rescale factor along the X axis, or width, dimension of the printed output.
Tip: To disable disproportionate scaling, set both rescale factors to 1.
Y Rescale factor Sets the rescale factor along the Y axis, or height, dimension of the printed output.
Tip: To disable disproportionate scaling, set both rescale factors to 1.
Mirror You can mirror printed output about the X and/or Y axis.
  • None — No mirroring is applied to the printed output.
  • About X axis — The printed output is mirrored about the X axis.
  • About Y axis — The printed output is mirrored about the Y axis.
  • About both axes — The printed output is mirrored about the X and Y axes.
Fence alignment (Enabled only when the currently selected Print area is set to Fence.)
  • None — Does not align the plot with the X or Y axes.
  • X axis — Aligns the plot with the X axis of the printer.
  • Y axis — Aligns the plot with the Y axis of the printer.
